Farm Bureau Extension: 2024 Continuing Education Series

California Farm Bureau presents the Farm Bureau Extension: 2023 CE Series held virtually. Join us throughout the year for webinars featuring content that meets your pesticide continuing education (CE) requirements. Subject matter experts will share information immediately applicable to your business operations and advance your professional development. CE certificates will be sent for each webinar attended after successful completion of a simple quiz on the material. New in 2022! This year's schedule will feature CE classes in English and Spanish.

The 2024 CE Series includes EIGHT class dates throughout the year. Class dates are: February 8, March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14th.

2024 Health and Safety on the Farm and Ranch:

California Farm Bureau is pleased to offer this year-long program of training sessions presented by Nationwide. Select topics will be presented in both English and Spanish. Access to these trainings is FREE for Farm Bureau members.

Trainings will be presented via Zoom. The Hazardous Agricultural Materials (HAM) training must be attended in person at a participating County Farm Bureau office or at the California Farm Bureau office in Sacramento.

The 2024 Health and Saftey on the Farm and Ranch Series includes SIXTEEN class dates throughout the year. Class dates are : February 6, March 5, March 12, April 9, April 23, May 7, June 4, June 18, July 2, July 16, August 6, September 3, September 24, October 1, November 5, November 19.

Where: The Historic Santa Margarita Ranch
Details: Get an up-close and hands-on look at antique equipment, including: tractors, engines, cars, steam trains, airplanes and much more. Hosted at the historic Santa Margarita Ranch on California’s beautiful central coast, this unique event is fun for the whole family! The SLO County Farm Bureau will be serving up tritip and pulled pork sandwhiches all weekend long!

What: CA Mid-State Fair
Where: Paso Robles Event Center
Details: The California Mid-State Fair runs for 12 days at the end of July. Enjoy concerts, music, food, carnival rides, animals and MORE this summer in Paso Robles at "The Biggest Little Fair Anywhere!"
The Fair opened in 1946 and was first known as the San Luis Obispo County Fair. The Fair has hosted some of the biggest names in the music industry. Artists such as Aerosmith, Garth Brooks, Tom Petty, George Strait, Journey, Miranda Lambert, Rod Stewart, Justin Bieber, Jason Aldean, Cardi B, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood have all performed on the Main Grandstand Arena stage.

Details: The California Farm Bureau hosts an annual meeting and state conference. This year the conference will be held in Monterey, CA. Members can attend workshops on Policy, Professional Development, and Marketing, Branding, and Sales. There are also continuing education sessions for Pesticide Certification.
