How to Join

New Members

Everyone is eligible to apply for Farm Bureau membership and receive the many benefits and services available. When you join, you are applying for membership in the San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau. All members receive the Farmer and Rancher magazine produced exclusively for San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau members. Farmers and ranchers who receive income from production agriculture join as Voting Members and receive the weekly Ag Alert®, California's number one agricultural trade journal. Voting members are also eligible to sign up for Notes From Farm Bureau, San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau's digital update. All others join as Sustaining Members and receive the bimonthly California Country, filled with useful information and background on food production, home gardening and other subjects.

  • On the Web - Chick here to join Farm Bureau via the web.
  • By Telephone - Call the County Farm Bureau office at (805) 543-3654 and have your VISA or MasterCard ready for dues payment. Be ready to provide name, address, phone and other pertinent information.
  • Walk-in - 651 Tank Farm Road in the city of San Luis Obispo. Our hours are 8 a.m. to 5 a.m. (closed noon to 1:00p.m.) Click here for a map.
  • By Mail - Complete and mail an application form to the California Farm Bureau Federation - Help Desk, 2300 River Plaza Drive, Sacramento, CA 95833. We will contact you to verify the dues rate for your county Farm Bureau and will then send you an invoice.

Renewing Members

Renew Membership online

Farm Bureau members in California may renew their memberships online, through a secure Web service. Have your renewal notice available to speed the process; you will need to enter your membership number, name and ZIP code. Renewal dues may be paid online using either VisaŽ or MasterCard®.
